Along the way, you’ll visit impressive waterfalls, hike canopy bridges, and embark on a river safari.
This 8-day Costa Rican vacation takes you to San Jose, Arenal Volcano, and Manuel Antonio National Park. It features first-class accommodations and small group tours.
Your journey connects you to San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, where you’ll have the rest of the day at leisure to explore the city. Head outside the city and make for Arenal Volcano. But first stop at La Paz Waterfall Gardens, where you’ll spend a few hours alongside waterfalls and hiking rainforest trails. You can also visit the hummingbird gallery, reptile house, and butterfly garden to see large numbers of endemic species in a controlled environment. Once you reach Arenal, you’ll explore the 250ha reserve surrounding the picturesque volcano. Join a naturalist guide and follow the 3km route along canopy bridges through the rainforest, enjoying a bird’s eye view of the activity high in the trees. Another day, float down the Penas Blancas River on a motorless boat for a river safari and experience the jungle come alive with monkeys, sloths, iguanas, crocodiles, and all manner of tropical birds thriving on the banks and in the waters.
Continue to Manuel Antonio National Park on the coast and enjoy an introductory hike through the park trails upon arrival. You’ll have two full days at leisure in Manuel Antonio to enjoy the idyllic beaches of the Pacific Coast. Experience barefoot luxury at your eco-friendly resort and access to long sandy beaches. Spend your time snorkelling through the waters, paddle boarding along the coast, and lounging on the beaches. You can also hike the trails of the national park to spot two-toed sloths in trees and hummingbirds buzzing around flowers.
At the end of your stay, you’ll connect back to San Jose for onward travels.

San Jose to Arenal with Stop at La Paz Waterfall Garden
This morning it's a scenic drive to the area of Vara Blanca for your first stop. The La Paz Waterfall Gardens, located around a 1-hour drive from San Jose, are stunningly beautiful. Walk down trails that lead to a series of spectacular waterfalls in the middle of the rainforest. During your visit, you can also enjoy the hummingbird gallery, the reptile house, the birdhouse, the butterfly garden, and the frog exhibit. After some time in nature, you'll have lunch here (included), and continue your travels to Arenal area.

Arenal Hanging Bridges
The Arenal hanging bridges is located on a 250he (618 acre) reserve of primary forest. Visitors who love nature can enjoy 15 bridges ranging from 5 to 100 meters long, designed along 3 km of rain forest in a circuit of interpretive trails with paving blocks to prevent slipping. The bridges are built of aluminum, galvanized steel and concrete to ensure maximum security. Manuel Antonio National Park
For this tour, you will be transferred to Manuel Antonio National Park. In the company of expert guides, you will take a hike along a flat yet picturesque trail that loops through the park, (approximately 3.2km / 2 miles long). During your walk, you will be able to spot the diverse wildlife of the region. Half way through your hike, you will make a 20min stop at one of the beaches located within the park. Upon finishing the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
