Accompany your guide as they introduce you to the nuances of this incredible region, taking in the view from Great Egret Lookout and checking into your eco-friendly lodge for the next few nights. During your stay you’ll have the option to trek, ride horses, canoe, take night and sunrise walks, or embark on a photo safari. Keep your eyes peeled for jaguars of course, as this is arguably the best place in the world to see them! But the Pantanal is also home to an incredible 159 mammal, 53 amphibian, 98 reptile, and 656 bird species (give or take), including capybaras, macaws, and maned wolves, ensuring great sightings no matter who turns up on your trek. Return to Cuiaba Airport for your onward flight.

Arrival in Cuiaba/Pantanal
Upon arrival at the Cuiaba Airport you will be transferred to Pantanal to your lodge for dinner and overnight. This transfer is divided into two different stages. The first is a journey on a paved road along farms and cattle ranches. After reaching Pocone take the Transpantaneira Park Road at km "0" (108 km / 67.1 mi. from Cuiaba). This is a park road at its best, allowing you to drive above the water level, watching the flora and fauna of the Pantanal ecosystem a photo safari along 146 km of dirt road with several stops along the way for photos and information. Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival. Later, your guide will lead you on a introductory walk through the surroundings of the lodge, explaining the concepts and many conservation projects undertaken. Continue to the Great Egret Lookout, and the 12 m / 39 ft. high observation tower. After dinner, take night walk under the Southern Hemisphere sky.
