Your trip to Chile takes you to Patagonia, the massive expansive of landscape at the southern end of South America. Patagonia is a hiker’s paradise, with barren plains stretching out beneath mountains and glaciers. In particular, Torres del Paine National Park is home to some of the best hiking trails in the world, which culminate at the Towers, massive rock monoliths rising above an alpine lake. During your time in Patagonia, you’ll stay at EcoCamp, a remote, eco-friendly hotel that’s been called one of the best accommodations in the world. At EcoCamp, your room will be a geodesic dome modelled after the ancient shelters of the Kaweskar people. These fascinating accommodations combine natural designs with rustic luxury and are a great example of eco-friendly first-class. You’ll have cozy bedding and locally-made furniture as well as a private bathroom with a state-of-the-art composting toilet, a low-emission wood stove, and massive windows to gaze out upon the Patagonia environment.
During your stay in Chilean Patagonia, you’ll have 2 to 4 days to engage in all manner of adventure activities. Head on a hike to see local wildlife, including guanacos, wild horses, and Patagonian foxes or trek up to the famous Towers, the centrepieces of Torres del Paine National Park. Cycle through the barren landscape, kayak along the cool alpine waters, or horseback ride with the mountains at your back. After a few days of adventure, you’ll leave Patagonia and continue your onward journey.

Arrival
You will be transferred from Punta Arenas or Calafate to Torres del Paine National Park and the Eco Dome Suites. There are no excursions on the first day of a program, as today is used for transfers to pick-ups and drop-offs. This is due to the long distances between towns in Patagonia, and the park.
