Arrive San Jose
Arrival in San Jose! Upon arrival you will be welcomed inside the International Airport and assisted during your customs procedures. One of the guide-drivers will meet you outside the terminal. He will give you an introductory briefing about Costa Rica and review the itinerary with you, this person will provide you with a Welcome Kit including documentation on Costa Rica, a map, and recommendations on what to bring and wear to the excursions, the guide will also answer all your questions during transfer towards the hotel in Alajuela. Check in at the hotel and rest of the evening at leisure.

Arenal
Today you will be picked for The Sky Tram and Sky Trek Tour. This tour starts with the Sky tram, a ride that will take you to a wide observation platform at the highest point of Arenal Reserve. This private reserve is located near El Castillo, on the north-facing slopes of the Tilarán Mountain Range. The ride on the open-aired gondolas offers phenomenal volcano views and rises 236mts/774ft. across a 1250mts/4104ft. long ride. Once at the lookout point, you can sit down on comfortable chairs to drink in the magnificent view.
It is at this observation platform where the Sky Trek circuit begins. Before you begin your zip line adventure you will be fitted with all necessary safety gear (harness, helmet, gloves); your guides will take care to properly adjust the equipment. Afterwards, they will impart a safety talk, detailing proper form and the use of the innovative braking system.
Once done, you are in for the ride of your life, zip-lining your way to the bottom of the mountain and gliding along nearly 3kms/2miles of cables. You will experience the rainforest as never before while at the same time enjoying the panoramic view of the volcano and lake from a whole new perspective. There are currently ten zip line cables; they range in height from 30mts/98ft. to 200mts/656ft. and in length from 200mts/656ft. to 750mts/2460ft.
Since the tour operator's primary concern is for their clients' safety, the staff's prime objective is to provide a wonderful tour with a high standard of security. For this reason, the equipment used is top quality, such as world class French made Petzl harnesses. Sky Trek is top of the line when it comes to canopy tours because it incorporates some significant differences, such as superior breaking systems, wider steel platforms, and highly trained staff.
Furthermore, the canopy's infrastructure is of the highest quality, utilizing protective and secure materials; these include metal platforms covered with mesh-covered steel rails, which prevent falling or sliding. You will get the safest, most comfortable, and exciting experience. It will be unforgettable!
In the event of lightning or winds exceeding 120 km/h (75mph), Sky Trek will cancel its tours for safety reasons; with lesser wind or rain only serving to add to the excitement and speed, of the zip line tour. Sky Trek also provides complimentary lockers to store your backpacks while taking part in the tour.
